Are You Confused/Unsure About What You Should Do?
Are You Scared About What's Going To Happen?
Do You Want to Make Sure You (or your child) Get Back to Playing Sports?
Do You Think Specialist-Level Help & Guidance Through this Overwhelming Process Would Be Helpful?
If so, then "A Patient's Guide to ACL Surgery Success" is exactly what you're looking for
“A Patient’s Guide to ACL Surgery Success” gives you specialist-level tips, advice, and guidance throughout your ACL surgery journey to make sure you have the best chance of getting back to the things you love you to do.
This is THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE guide out there. Most guides/protocols are 3-4 pages long and this guide is 75 pages of information, tips, advice, and guidelines. You won't find a guide like this anywhere else!
Why Should You Get This Guide?
Quite simply, because it's YOUR health on the line and you likely have no idea what to expect, the right things to do, the wrong things to do, etc. And, unfortunately, there’s a lot of inadequate physical therapists and surgeons out there who can hurt your chances of having a successful outcome. So, why not take your own health in your hands and empower yourself!
What This Guide is...
Specialist-level tips, advice, and guidance about:
- What you need to know and do before surgery. Topics like:
-
- How to optimize yourself physically
- How to pick a surgeon
- How to pick a physical therapist
- Supplies recommended for after surgery
- What you need to know and do the day of surgery
- How to prepare and what to expect for the "big day"
- What you need to know and do after surgery. Topics like:
- Detailed description of what to do the first few days after surgery
- Guided timeline of your rehab process with appropriate milestones
- Returning to sports guidelines
...and What It Isn't
This guide is not an exact “recipe” for you to follow. Why? Because, just like snowflakes, no two rehab programs are exactly the same. The overarching principles and goals are very similar, but the exact exercises, needs, etc. will differ for each person. So, if you’re looking for an exact recipe to follow, this guide won’t give you that...because that doesn’t exist.
This Guide Is Ideal For
- People who want to give themselves the best chance of having a successful surgery and outcome
- Athletes who want to get back to playing sports as quickly AND safely as possible
- Parents who are concerned for their child's health and want to ensure the best possible outcome for them
- People who have limited access to a medical rehab team
- Anyone who values their health and wants to continue to live a healthy, active lifestyle
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Won't I just get all this information from my surgeon and physical therapist?
Unfortunately, that’s not always the case. There are many therapists and surgeons out there who provide inadequate information and treatment when it comes to ACL rehab. And that’s one of the main reasons why I wrote this guide in the first place. To make sure people have as much information and help as possible to ensure they have a safe and successful outcome.
-
Is this guide written for a medical professional (i.e. physical therapist or surgeon)?
No. It’s written for the average person with minimal big, fancy medical words, so it’s easy to understand. There are lots of pictures and videos as well.
-
Can I just use this guide after surgery and not work with a physical therapist?
If you have absolutely no access to a local physical therapist, then this guide will be the next best thing for you to use throughout your ACL journey. However, if you have access to a good physical therapist, it is highly recommended you work with them in addition to reading this guide.
-
Can I show this guide to my physical therapist/surgeon?
Absolutely! You can (and should) discuss and share any of the topics in this guide with your physical therapist.
Listen to What Others Are Saying
Aviva F.“I was really nervous about getting ACL surgery and I really had no idea what to expect. Luckily, I came across this guide and it helped me out so much. It eased so many of my concerns before surgery and helped me understand what to expect afterwards. Without it, I don’t think I would be as far along as I am.”
- TF“An absolute must have if you’re getting ACL surgery. That’s all I have to say!”
- Rick R.“Unfortunately, my daughter tore her ACL and had to get surgery. Being a protective, loving dad I felt a little helpless because I had no idea what to do for her. This guide turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. After reading it, I felt so much better about making the right decisions for her. She wants to get back to playing lacrosse so badly and with this guide, I feel much more confident that will safely happen.”
- Jackie H.“I’m only 1 month out of my surgery, but I can already say that this guide is so worth it! The tips and guidance it's already given me has been so helpful. And because of the guide, I know what lies ahead of me on my road back to playing soccer - which I can’t wait to get back to! Thank you so much for thinking of us ‘regular’ people!”
A Personal Message From Me:
Hello!
If you're reading this, then either you or your child (or someone else you know) suffered an ACL injury and is planning on getting surgery....and is looking for some help/guidance.
For most people, getting ACL surgery is a scary thing! There's a lot of unknown about what to expect, what choices you should make, what to do, and so on.
Unfortunately, there's a lot of misinformation out there and there's also a lot of inadequate physical therapists & surgeons out there. And that can absolutely decrease your chances of having a successful outcome after surgery.
Being aware of this, I wanted to make a comprehensive guide for you to use as you go through this long, tough journey. While this guide will have a lot of details & specifics, it's not meant to be a replacement for seeing a physical therapist. It will provide you with lots of information, advice, tips, and guidelines to give you the best chance of having a successful outcome after surgery.
I made this guide because I truly felt there was a glaring need for a better resource for people who have suffered an ACL injury.
Thanks,
Dennis
